How can clinical research help improve healthcare

clinical research in healthcare

Famous author Simon Sinek puts it beautifully when he says, "Every organization on the planet knows what they do. Some know how they do it, but very few organizations can clearly articulate why they do what they do. All the great organizations in the world have a sense of why that organization does what it does."

Our WHY

On this fine day, in this blog, we will try (and we might fail) to articulate the why behind what we do here at My Medical Panel. Yes, on the face of it, we are an organization that aims to bring together healthcare professionals from across the globe to interact, learn & share their knowledge from the medical field. On the other side of this coin, we share medical research surveys with our members and ask for their invaluable views and opinions. Healthcare professionals are already short on time, and they are humans. They still need to do all the other daily mundane things like us while also looking after their family. That is why we compensate our panel members with generous honoraria for participating in our healthcare research surveys and taking the time out of their busy schedules.

But that still does not answer the question, "What is the why of My Medical Panel?" Improving the healthcare landscape of our world. Yes, it looks simple from afar, but it gets more complex the closer you look at it. We had to set out to achieve our one goal with a blurry set of paths ahead of us. How could we do it for the whole world? How could we unite healthcare professionals in our mission to improve healthcare?

Our PATH

Step 1 was to bring healthcare professionals from across the globe onto our panel. So we did just that! We started with 1, and now we are close to approaching double digits of communities, with only more to come imminently. The next step was a joint action all our members could take to participate in a cause bigger than themselves. It had to be something in which their participation mattered, and the end goal was attained.

That's when healthcare research surveys came into the picture. Our members come from all over the world with a myriad of specialties and varying experiences in the field. Our members are unique in their way of assessing any situation and looking for solutions. We aim to harness that at My Medical Panel.

Improving HEALTHCARE

Different research approaches provide complementary insights. Continuous and varied input from real-world clinical experience is critical for comparing and improving the usage of medications, vaccines, medical devices, and diagnostics. Opportunities are still scarce for doctors and patients to conduct and participate in research. Our sole aim is to convert that scarcity to abundance. The responsibility to demonstrate healthy research activity and processes comes with reinforcing the relationship between research and quality of care.

Physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare workers get first-hand knowledge of novel technologies such as new surgical techniques or medications by being actively involved in our clinical research surveys. Their opinions and feedback mold the future of those techniques and medications. On the other hand, the acquisition of new skills or technology, necessary for some clinical trials, may lead to widespread use and improved outcomes throughout an institution or health system.

There are more benefits associated with it. Physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals who work in research-active settings may be systematically different from their non-research-active counterparts and might provide superior treatment.

Filling the KNOWLEDGE-PRACTICE gaps

The “knowing-doing gap” is a core problem in several industries. It can be coined as the "knowledge-practice gap" for the healthcare industry. There are no easy fixes to it, but healthcare surveys can ignite conversations that can take a deciding shape along the way. The challenge for those trying to improve performance in healthcare is to increase the linkage between knowledge and action.

With our paid medical surveys, we aim to fill that gap. Healthcare professionals from more than 150 specialties can join our panel to start participating in surveys curated to their specialization. We have more than 500K members ready to see you in our community! Join here - https://www.mymedicalpanel.com/

We thank our panel members generously for their time and contribution. To date, we have disbursed honoraria worth more than 15 Million dollars to MMPeers.
